lyrics
Until the day romanticized
Brittle bones unmask my thinly veiled intentions
The cold constricts the ego of a burdened soul
Drunk on its own beauty and contentment
Every glance askance
Disaffected from afar
Disown, detesting every last unworthy one
Civilized I come yet above it I rise
Born or molded to be of the kind that abhor
If oddity is power
A living god am I
Overman: a living parchment
Poised for scribe’s written word
Reincarnate Byronic immortality
Transfigured everlasting
To drink of prose fermenting
Embalmed in ink, eternity stained
In my name forever reign
[Jake Solo]
Many blithe fellows cast an unhappy shadow
Flaunting power atop the chain
To be mad as a beast feels the most natural thing
And thus, the sigil dries upon
The sojourner’s deification

This album is raw emotion from start to finish. The guitar work is great, but I think this album really shines in its vocals. You can hear the emotional anguish in his voice, highly recommended. -Jake Astringency
This album is amazing, evil-sounding death metal. The production is raw, but never at the expense of the music. The lead guitar work is especially memorable. -Cameron Astringency
This album is an awesome callback to 90's symphonic black metal, and the production offers a modern take on classic sounds, like Emperor and Dissection. A must listen for fans of the genre! -Aaron Astringency
This album being played over the PA system at the museum where Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is housed is what caused the faces of the clocks in the painting to melt. meeko
Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022
