lyrics
Daughters and sons return Father’s love under pain of death
I think therefore I’m damned
Since in the garden mind awakened
Omniscient eyes surely foresee
Its plan to bring such suffering
A tear departs from gazing eyes peering past the glistering gates
My beloveds once touched by death reside in sanctity reign
Cursed by free will; thought hath led me to this place
I turn my head, step back in line, and march unto the flames
Lives once wrought in virtue share in sentence of endless tortured fate
An untold love has deemed us don the boundless mark of shame
Infinite is the horde to suffer; resonant screams shall guide our way
With each step we near our new abode; onward unto the flames
He who takes to the flesh will be stripped of its pleasures
She that tasted the fruit shall know its sweetness in measure
Those abstaining from life await eternity’s treasures
Gift for the unmoved faith in outlandish things unseen
My brother, our sister come home
Ere You dry our tears may they douse Hell’s coals
A child with honest heart is sure to roam
Our callous Lord knows not what he’s done
The stick or the carrot:
To be salvaged or burned
The apothecary peddles cures
For a bane of his design
Pain without end befalls those who doubt the supreme mercy of God
Sentient lives; human bonds apprized
Until severed by cruel hands divine
Seek and you’ll find if Heaven decides
To spare you from Its path of carnage so wide
Free gift of life with blood sacrifice
Verdict to be made when seraph arrives
With fiery sword drawn pressed under your jaw
Their kindly offer leaves no choice at all
Sow thine offspring to heed words of a holy dictator
‘tis not Paradise’s loss if raised a black sheep or traitor
Cower and meekly bow in sight of loving Creator
Mother has none to fear so long as dogma is retained
Wicked are we when held to an impossible standard
One must simply believe
What could go wrong?

This album is raw emotion from start to finish. The guitar work is great, but I think this album really shines in its vocals. You can hear the emotional anguish in his voice, highly recommended. -Jake Astringency
This album is amazing, evil-sounding death metal. The production is raw, but never at the expense of the music. The lead guitar work is especially memorable. -Cameron Astringency
This album is an awesome callback to 90's symphonic black metal, and the production offers a modern take on classic sounds, like Emperor and Dissection. A must listen for fans of the genre! -Aaron Astringency

This album being played over the PA system at the museum where Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is housed is what caused the faces of the clocks in the painting to melt. meeko

Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022
