lyrics
What man am I?
In the ether before the stroll began
What man am I?
Still unforeseen was this dead end
Upon my trail anticipate
Distract from the beauty of sight
So very fleeting
I would that my eyes see black
Cowled robe concealing
Till man stepped forward from the pack
The plot most grand draws to a close
Come now abhorrent subduction sanctified
Pass into nothing
Holy demise
Sweet relief my prize
The craftsman dwells
A mired smock obscures his splendor
Selfdom to swell
Biding as life’s own imperator
Cold breath caress the wilted face
Beyond this day grasped in skeletal embrace
Alone we did enter
Alone we withdraw
Crown’s glimmer fades
With oxidation’s stain
Throne bends to time
Turned casket for the grave
Faultless Moirai
Drawing next rulers’ rise
King abdicates
Deposed to starless night
These comely three inviting
“Follow me to nought indefinitely”
Nonentity
Earth’s curtain an absurd prelusion
Nihility
From birth to farce to bleak conclusion
Could one yet fathom nonbeing?
Soul death: a viewing of our extinction
Conceived pre-will
So take the reigns
Enjoy the ride
Leading to the cliff’s edge
Logical perception, the terms of my being
Embracive nothingness beyond the unforeseen
[Aaron solo]
Crown’s glimmer fades
With oxidation’s stain
Throne bends to time
Turned casket for the grave
Faultless Moirai
Drawing; next rulers rise
King abdicates
Deposed to starless night

This album is raw emotion from start to finish. The guitar work is great, but I think this album really shines in its vocals. You can hear the emotional anguish in his voice, highly recommended. -Jake Astringency
This album is amazing, evil-sounding death metal. The production is raw, but never at the expense of the music. The lead guitar work is especially memorable. -Cameron Astringency
This album is an awesome callback to 90's symphonic black metal, and the production offers a modern take on classic sounds, like Emperor and Dissection. A must listen for fans of the genre! -Aaron Astringency
This album being played over the PA system at the museum where Salvador Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" is housed is what caused the faces of the clocks in the painting to melt. meeko
Since Spenser Moore replaced Blackburn I’ve frankly appreciated Inferi far more. I feel that his drumming improves the overall sound of the band a great deal, but it’s probably just a personal style preference. Either way, Of Sunless Realms was a great foreshadowing of the epic Vile Genesis. Metallurgical Fire
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022
