lyrics
Shat out the coldest of incubators
Angelic child
The soulless gaze of a true believer
Warps Mommy’s smile
Wrapped in swaddling clothes
Lying in first and only crib
Heavenly touch displayed
Through butchering hands and wicked lips
Carved postpartum
This undeserved babe
What difference do few thousand years make
Read in ancient scripture or today’s front page
The absent Father’s present in obedient brains
‘tis not a murder of an innocent
Just a gift returned
Limbs first
An empty sky stays unresponsive to her final screams
Spurting blood curdling
See what evil Mother brings
Word come alive guiding Jephthah’s possession
Virus bartered for serrated weapon
Infant severed in Solomic inversion
Come thou fount speak maternal deception
Care eschewed for her holy mission
Mental affliction
Versed in fiction
A heinous crime
But all is fine
In the poisoned mind
Of her failed protector
An empty sky stays unresponsive to her final screams
Spurting blood curdling
See what evil Mother brings
Daughter’s bloodlet showers
Stain her gown with scarlet angel wings
Lost, now found; washed in the blood
Blank face psychotic, serene
This terminal betrayal
Resounding in her wail
Unthinkable the scene
Of an infant cleaved
With Isaac the test did begin
Pray that with little Maggie it ends
[Jake solo]
Makeshift altar’s offering drains
Cradle runneth over mid songs of praise
Singing killer gently sways
Life itself: a godless waste
Zeal conveyed
Her form unmade
Tiny arm pierced with blade
A mother’s touch

This album is raw emotion from start to finish. The guitar work is great, but I think this album really shines in its vocals. You can hear the emotional anguish in his voice, highly recommended. -Jake Astringency
This album is amazing, evil-sounding death metal. The production is raw, but never at the expense of the music. The lead guitar work is especially memorable. -Cameron Astringency
This album is an awesome callback to 90's symphonic black metal, and the production offers a modern take on classic sounds, like Emperor and Dissection. A must listen for fans of the genre! -Aaron Astringency

This was part of my wishlist for to long! A great kind of Tech Death - brutal, melodic, wired and catchy at the same time. Early Cynic meet Decrepit Birth and Defeated Sainty. Those who admire Obscura also will dig this for sure but way more deep growls in here. minusoneman2
Channeling philosophical quandaries into cavernous death metal, the Australian trio turn modern power struggles into an aural advantage. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 13, 2022
